» How do you feel about learning English?

This poll is important for me, because I need to know how English-speaking school students feel about the subject of English when they're learning it at school. This information is required for a research project I'm currently doing. Please give your opinion, I would really appreciate it.

I like English. I mean, sure, a lot can be boring such as period-long lessons on different types of verbs and changing tenses, but I find it moderately enjoyable, yes.

Well its okay for me since im scoring pretty ok for english.

I love writing stories and poems, but I think we all knew that.

For I, I quite enjoy English, but it still remains very slightly difficult for me (I voted 2nd option), since in a lingual sense, English is actually my third language, whereas Lao is my first and Thai my second.

My first language is probably Chinese (Mandarin), but I dropped it when I was 18 months and consider myself a native English speaker.

I think my 1st launguage was something indian, but then i stopped when I was like 2 'cus people started talkng to me in english. Go english!!

I don't really like English class this year. It's all analytical writing and having to support veiwpoints you disagree with violently. But creative writing classes are great, I love them. So it depends on what we learn.

I share the same views.

I speak fluent English, and 'learning' what I already learn is dull. Instead I teach myself many different languages. I speak Spanish(better than most, but not completely fluent), some German, some French, some Latin, some Chinese, and some Japanese.

I chose 'could be more enjoyable.'

I wish I were learning, but because of my district's weak program, I'm in a class of 'advanced' humans that need to be bumped down, and can hardly spell 'California.'

Meh English is my first language.

In S'pore so many people speak in slang and that prolly be why the textbook is so poof simple.Every year,the only thing I learn in English,is welll,um uh nothing?

Well, my teacher is awesome, so English classes are always fun.

My English teacher is mean to the student but fun at the same time.

At my school right now, we switch where we have English one semester and computers another...

It's the worst in the world! My computers teacher is so dull, and always talks about boring things, but the English teacher is [COLOR=red][SIZE=14]CRAZY! She kicked over a trashcan during a 'lesson' about subjects and predicates, even though we learned about them in third grade...ish.

At my school, you absolutely have to learn English and some bits are boring, some are okay. For example, I've had to study Macbeth for a few weeks but I'm about to start a film analysis. Yay!

Paroso, your teacher sounds crazy. Next time she fires up, write 'Chill Pills' on a container and give it to her to see what happens.

You crazy person. Macbeth bored me almost to death. last year I got to watch the Romeo and Juliet movie, and that was okay. But all the Maceth films are supposed to be garbage.

I love english. It's my favourite class. We just finished Hamlet. Wasn't bad.

I've read the majority of those books, because I am a nerd. I wrote out a version using little words for it so my friends could understand, because I'm a supernerd!
